The motion

That the Parliament welcomes new opportunities to improve mental wellbeing across Angus provided by the Scottish Association for Mental Health and the Co-op National Charity Partnership; understands that the new initiative brings together Co-op, SAMH, and others to help communities to improve their mental health and build community resilience; notes that SAMH has partnered with Stagecoach East to introduce the Wellbeing on Wheels Bus which, it understands, provides mobile mental health weekly drop-in sessions across three towns in North East Scotland covering Brechin, Arbroath and Forfar, with an additional Wellbeing Pit Stop service in Kirriemuir; understands that by placing the bus in the heart of each local community, SAMH, Co-op, and Stagecoach hope to provide the opportunity for people to come on board and connect with others and explore mental health by raising awareness and challenging stigma; notes that no referral or appointment is needed and that the service is free and open to anyone aged 16 years and over, and wishes the service and all those involved every success over the coming months.
