Maddiston Hairdressers are a Cut Above by Offering Free Haircuts For School Children

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the efforts of Sinead McNiven, a freelance hairdresser and make-up artist from Maddiston, Falkirk, in offering free back to school haircuts for local families grappling with the cost of living crisis; notes that Sinead, alongside hairdressers Kerris Gentles and Kerrie Kallus volunteered four hours of their time on 15 August 2022 at Maddiston Community Hall; recognises the positive impact that gestures such as this have on families who are affected by the cost of living crisis; acknowledges the selfless nature Sinead, Kerris and Kerrie have shown in organising and volunteering for this event to help others; considers that efforts such as this, bring the local community together to support each other and encourage positive, impactful contributions which, it believes, make a difference to people within the community; congratulates Sinead, Kerris and Kerrie on their successful event, and wishes them all the best for the future.
