20th Anniversary of Starter Packs Inverclyde

The motion

That the Parliament recognises that the charity, Starter Packs Inverclyde, will be marking its 20th anniversary on 9 September 2022; understands that Starter Packs Inverclyde is a charity that has been providing people who are offered tenancy after being previously homeless, with basic yet important household items that they otherwise would struggle to afford; believes that the charity is an example of a community coming together to help itself as all household items are generously donated from people in and around Inverclyde including community and church groups; congratulates the staff and volunteers for reaching the 20-year milestone, and wishes them the very best in continuing to provide people with, in the charity's own words, “the things they need to make the empty shell of a house into a home".
