The Recycle Room, Clydebank
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the invaluable work of The Recycle Room in Clydebank; acknowledges its efforts in supporting people locally by providing clothes, household furniture and toys to those who need them most; welcomes the financial support given to the project by West Dunbartonshire Council; commends its recent school uniform bank initiative which, it understands, has supported thousands of young people; understands that The Recycle Room is now preparing to launch its very successful annual Keep Warm Campaign; further understands that the appeal distributes Winter clothing such as coats, blankets and scarves to those most in need whilst offering advice classes on measures that locals can take to help combat the cold weather and keep warm, these include how to save energy and wearing layers, and believes that The Recycle Room has environmentalism at the heart of its mission, encouraging all those who support the project to reduce, reuse and recycle.
