Aberdeen RNLI Open Day
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the return of the Aberdeen Lifeboat Station open day after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that on 21 August 2022, visitors were given the chance to meet the crew, attend a family fundraiser, explore the station and get a taste of what life is like working out at sea; notes that all emergency services were represented at the event and a great turnout from the public was rewarded by a performance by the Gordon Highlanders Pipe Band; recognises what it sees as the vital role the RNLI serve in saving lives, protecting communities and educating the public of the dangers present to them; commends all those involved with the RNLI, and extends that welcome to all those supporting their efforts.
