Scruples Café Celebrates 30th Anniversary in Dumbarton

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Scruples Café of Dumbarton on celebrating its 30th anniversary; understands that the business was opened in 1992 by local resident, Helen Mackenzie, who has seen many generations of families pass through the doors; notes that there has been many hurdles to overcome over the decades and that the hard work and dedication of the staff has seen it remain a popular local business; commends the spirit of the local neighbourhood and the cafe's contribution to its wellbeing, and considers that small businesses are the backbone of the economy.
