Improvements Made to Zetland Park, Grangemouth, to Benefit Local Community

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the regeneration and improvements of Zetland Park in Grangemouth, Falkirk; considers that the work carried out to the 46 acres of parkland will create a welcoming and entertaining recreational space for people of all ages within the local community; understands that an inclusive play area, pump track for cycling, upgrades made to the rose garden and pond and new flag poles have been installed as part of the improvement works to the 140-year-old park; notes that the flag poles will showcase artwork on flags, which have been designed by the members of the community and local school pupils and will be changed on a monthly basis; congratulates the organisers and local community for a successful re-opening weekend on 28 August 2022, which included pond dipping, several sport taster sessions, bug hunts, an inflatable assault course, electric bikes from Cycling Without Age and stalls from local groups from across Falkirk; appreciates the huge amount of planning and work undertaken by the local council, volunteers and local groups to bring this project to fruition; congratulates the work undertaken and the result of the regeneration project in Zetland Park in Grangemouth, Falkirk, and wishes all those involved well for the future.
