Jane Neil to Represent Scotland at the World Masters Hockey World Cup

The motion

That the Parliament wishes Jane Neil from Greenock all the best as she prepares to represent Scotland at the World Masters Hockey World Cup in Cape Town later in 2022; recognises that Jane currently plays for the Scottish Ladies over-65s hockey squad, scoring her first international goal for Scotland aged 66 against England in 2021, and has previously featured for Scotland’s over-60s, over-55s and over-50s sides; understands that Jane began playing hockey when she was around 11 years old and has travelled across the world to represent her country, playing in places like Barcelona and Hawaii; believes that Jane’s continued commitment to the sport and playing for Scotland will be an inspiration to people of all ages, and wishes her and her teammates all the best in their upcoming matches.
