Lisini Pub Company Named Team of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lisini Pub Company for winning Team of the Year at the 2022 Scottish Bar & Pub Awards; notes that the family-run Lisini Pub Company has been in business for more than 50 years and currently owns and operates five "weel-kent" Lanarkshire venues, employing over 350 staff, including Angels Hotel and the Castle Rooms in Uddingston; understands that the Awards, often dubbed the “hospitality Oscars”, are Scotland’s longest-running, licenced trade awards and spotlight Scotland’s most loved venues, with finalists shortlisted from an online vote that is open to the public; celebrates the Lisini Pub Company’s fundraising efforts, which include the annual Harry Hood Invitational Golf Day, which, in August 2022, raised almost £3,500 for the Marie Curie UK Charity, and believes that employee-focussed businesses such as Lisini Pub Company are best placed to sustain operations during what it sees as an extremely difficult and turbulent period for the hospitality sector.
