New Deer Young Farmers Club (YFC) Centenary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates New Deer Young Farmers Club (YFC) on celebrating its centenary year; understands that the New Deer YFC is the second oldest club of its kind in Scotland; further understands that the group is holding a number of activities throughout the year to mark this milestone, including a farm walk and hog roast, a pageant at the New Deer Show, and its anniversary ball in November, where members past and present will gather to celebrate; recognises what it sees as the importance of groups such as New Deer YFC in providing a social outlet for young adults employed in the rural economy, and commends the committee on their efforts, and wishes the cub well.
