Callum Watters Prepares to Go Pro
The motion
That the Parliament wishes 16-year-old Callum Watters from Inverclyde all the best as he prepares to pursue his dream of becoming a professional golfer; understands that Callum, a former pupil at Notre Dame High School in Greenock, decided not to return to school for his final year so that he could hone his golfing skills; understands that this follows a perfect season for Callum that saw him take home the junior titles at both Greenock and Gourock golf clubs, as well as the Greenock and District junior championship; appreciates that Callum hopes to study professional golf or golf management at university in 2023 through a special course based near the world-renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club, having already achieved the results he needs; notes that Callum plays of a handicap of five and regularly caddies for his PGA professional father, Derek, and is junior captain at Gourock Golf Club, and wishes him every success in the future.
