Community Fun Day for Climate Change Awareness

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Go Together and Go Kids Performing Arts Scotland (GKPA) for the support and activities that they provide in the Motherwell and Wishaw community; understands that together, they hosted a community Fun Day at St Andrew’s Church and GKPA’s studio on Russell Street, Wishaw, to raise awareness of climate change and what, as a community, they could do to help the world; notes that Go Together was set up to help those in the community who are struggling with everyday tasks; understands that GKPA provides opportunities for young people and empowers them to try something new while breaking down barriers and increasing confidence through performing arts; believes that the contributions made by the community organisations have been invaluable to environmental progress in the local area, and wishes Go Together and GKPA all the best for the future.
