Congratulating Mid Scotland and Fife Region Finalists in the Upcoming The Menu Food and Drink Awards 2022

That the Parliament congratulates the Mid Scotland and Fife Region businesses who are finalists in the upcoming The Menu Food and Drink Awards 2022; notes that the awards ceremony will be held at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews on 6 October 2022; further notes that the awards are now in their fifth year and the aim of the event is to celebrate the work and efforts of businesses in the region and to champion local food and drink in the hospitality sector across 13 different categories; recognises the Menu Food and Drink Awards finalists, The Tully, by Ballintaggart in Perthshire, in the Bar of the Year category and, in the Brewer of the Year category,  Anstruther, Fife’s Ovenstone 109; congratulates The North Port restaurant, based in Perth, and The Grandtully Hotel, by Ballintaggart, and Killiecrankie House, both based in Perthshire in the Chef of the Year category; recognises the achievements in the Entrepreneur of the Year category of Modern Standard Coffee, based in Glenrothes in Fife, and Authentic Indian Cuisine, based in Perth; acknowledges The Perth Distillery Co, based in Perth, as a finalist in the Craft Distiller of the Year category and also in the Food/Drink Visitor Destination of the Year category, along with Clootie McToot Dumplings, of Abernethy in Perth, and The Pickled Peacock of Errol in Perth; recognises Fisher and Donaldson bakery, which is based in Cupar, Fife, and The Tickled Trout Café in Almondbank, Perth, and also Zest, of St Andrews, Fife, in the Independent Café of the Year category; further recognises The Boars Head restaurant, based in Auchtermuchty, Cupar, and Killiecrankie House of Perthshire, and The Crusoe Hotel of Leven, Fife, in the Newcomer of the Year category; acknowledges that Clootie McToot Dumpling, of Abernethy in Perth, and Pittenweem Preserves are finalists in the Producer of the Year categories, and Eolas Restaurant at Murrayshall Country Estate and The North Port Restaurant, both based in Perth, and also The Grandtully Hotel by Ballintaggart, and Little’s Restaurant of Blairgowrie, both in the Perthshire region, in the Restaurant of the Year category; congratulates the Ox and Anchor, based in Pittenweem, Anstruther, as a finalist in the Street Food Vendor of the Year category; appreciates Zest St Andrews as a finalist in the Sustainability Award category; further appreciates the hard work and contributions to the local community of staff at Kitschnbake, based in Tayport, Fife, who are nominated for the Community Champion Award; extends its very best wishes to the nominees, and hopes that the celebrations will be an enjoyable evening for all.
