Kirkcaldy’s Buffalo Farm Set to Triple Production After New Aldi Deal for Buffalo Mozzarella

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates The Buffalo Farm, Kirkcaldy, as business owner, Steve Mitchell, expects to triple the farm’s production of its mozzarella cheese over the next two years after securing a permanent spot in all of Aldi Scotland’s stores; understands that the deal with Aldi Scotland was announced after a successful trial as part of last year’s Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight and that The Buffalo Farm’s mozzarella will be sold under its "Specially Selected" range; further understands that The Buffalo Farm’s mozzarella is made from the milk of grass-fed water buffalo that are selected from the best herds across Europe; recognises that since signing with Aldi, The Buffalo Farm has gone on to win multiple awards for its mozzarella, most recently at the Scottish Retail Food and Drink Awards where the team won Gold in the Large Producer category; commends The Buffalo Farm for its commitment to producing quality Scottish products, and wishes it all the best for its deal with Aldi Scotland, and for the future.
