Kirkcaldy Strong Event Sees Walkers Step Out for Good Causes in the Lang Toun
The motion
That the Parliament commends Kirkcaldy Strong for organising a charity walk, with those taking part using the walk to raise funds for their chosen cause or group; understands that Kirkcaldy Strong was created by friends, Lisa May Young and Jenni Leigh, to champion the heroism of Kirkcaldy and to pull together the community groups and charities which kept operating during the COVID-19 pandemic; further understands that Kirkcaldy Strong lends a helping hand through sharing information, fundraising events, and celebrating the Kirkcaldy community; notes that walkers supported charities such as Nourish Support Centre, Linton Lane Centre, Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs and Saje Scotland among others; wishes Kirkcaldy Strong all the best for the charity walk in 2023, and commends all who took part in the event.
