Congratulations to Doune Primary School on Winning We Care Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Doune Primary School on winning a Schools for Young Carers We Recognise Award from Edinburgh Young Carers; understands that the We Care Schools for Young Carers Award recognises and rewards good practice around identifying and supporting young carers in schools across Scotland, and further understands that We Care aims to encourage schools to develop their skills and experience in working with young carers through the development of approaches, policies and regular self-evaluation to ensure that young carers are supported in achieving their personal outcomes and reduce or remove the barriers that they may be facing to accessing a full education.
