Uddingston Care Home Hosts Music Festival for Residents
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Renaissance Care Home Croftbank in Uddingston on their week-long Music Festival initiative, where it understands that residents engaged in its own bespoke musical line up, played a range of games and enjoyed festival style food, which all took place around the home and garden decorated in a festival theme; understands that the care group’s events have been popular in recent years which, it believes, encourages residents to focus on bettering their health and wellbeing, as well as encouraging physical activity and fun; considers that music is an effective tool in boosting mood and memory, especially for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia; notes that the care home has recently introduced a new danceSing platform for staff and residents to stay fit and healthy, and wishes the staff and residents all the best for the future.
