Photos Tell Story of Glasgow's Cadder Scheme in New Book

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jeff Holmes on the launch of his book, Cadder: Past to Present - Stories from a Glasgow housing scheme, which took place at Lambhill Stables; understands that the book came about through the Facebook page, Cadder Chat, and that when old photos were discovered by a member then the idea of a book took shape; further understands that a message on the Cadder Chat page about tales of the area saw a plethora of stories flood in, and acknowledges that, having been constructed in the late 1940s as a means of providing decent post-war housing for those living in slum tenement blocks in nearby places such as Maryhill, Cadder was built on the site of West Possil Loch.
