Cullivoe Primary School shortlisted for Scottish School Food Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Cullivoe Primary School for being shortlisted in the first ever Scottish School Food Awards; understands that these new awards hope to celebrate and improve well-being, sustainability and school meals standards; further understands that Cullivoe is one of three schools shortlisted in the Sustainable School of the Year Category, alongside two fee-paying schools; commends the pupils, parents and staff at Cullivoe for their sustainability efforts, which involve producing their own food in the school garden and polytunnels to use in school snacks and meals, with involvement from the local community; believes that producing food on-site teaches pupils valuable skills and lessons in food production, sustainability and the environment; notes that Cullivoe Primary School is also an Eco School and a Gold Level Rights Respecting School, and wishes all at Cullivoe Primary School well as they look forward to the final of the Scottish School Food Awards.
