Fair Isle Primary Community Shop

The motion

That the Parliament sends its congratulations to Fair Isle Primary School in Kirkcaldy on setting up and running a community shop; recognises that the primary school introduced this initiative in response to the rising cost of living, and with regard to those in the community who may be struggling; understands that the scheme is run by volunteer parents and teachers, and provides clothing, food, and cleaning products for members of the community for free, or a small donation; welcomes the provision of donations from small local businesses, as well as larger retailers and supermarkets; highlights the recent open day held by the school to thank volunteers and donors, and sends its best wishes to Fair Isle Primary and all those involved in the community shop.
