McGill’s Named Scottish Public Transport Operator of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates McGill’s on being named Scottish Public Transport Operator of the year; understands that the Greenock-based company saw off tough competition from seven rivals, including ScotRail, to claim the title; further understands that the award, received by Chief Executive Ralph Roberts at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow, follows the company’s acquisition of First Scotland East; commends what it sees as McGill’s climate-conscious approach to public transport, with another 41 zero-emission buses being delivered in February 2023 as part of a £20 million project to further decarbonise the fleet, and wishes the company all the best for the future.
