South Lanarkshire Council Approved Menstruation Policy
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes South Lanarkshire Council’s commitment to work towards implementing a menstruation policy for schools and the workforce; further welcomes what it understands to be the local authority's intention of pursuing training on menstruation for line managers, teachers, and pupils, and to explore the feasibility of a paid menstrual leave policy; commends South Lanarkshire Council for what it considers its ongoing cross-party commitment to achieving period dignity for everyone who lives and works in the local communities, and looks forward to other local authorities developing what it sees as menstruation policies that are consistent with fair work and period dignity principles.
