Boat Launched by Skylark IX Recovery Trust Inspired by Dunkirk Little Ship

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates staff and volunteers at the Skylark IX Recovery Trust for launching their St Ayles’ skiff rowing boat on Loch Lomond last month, having been inspired by the Skylark IX, which was one of the little ships that rescued allied troops from the beaches of Dunkirk as part of Operation Dynamo during the Second World War; considers that the launching of the boat is a notable milestone in the Trust’s work, and that it plans to continue working to better the lives of those affected by addiction; understands that the Recovery Trust aims to help those recovering from addiction to rebuild their lives; congratulates all involved in the project for their hard work with charities such as Alternatives and Dumbarton Area Council on Alcohol, and wishes them well in the future.
