Gold Rights Respecting Award for Onthank Primary School

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Onthank Primary School in Kilmarnock on being presented with a Gold Rights Respecting School Award by UNICEF UK; recognises that what it considers this amazing award is granted to schools that show commitment to promoting and realising children’s rights; considers that this is a superb achievement, as gold is the highest such accolade and is granted only to schools that have fully embedded the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child into their ethos and curriculum; commends the pupils and teachers at Onthank Primary School on this achievement, and wishes them the best of luck for the future.
