Congratulating Team South Lanarkshire on a Golden Children's Games

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Team South Lanarkshire on a triumphant International Children’s Games in Coventry in summer 2022; notes the squad’s success across disciplines; commends the gold medallists of the girls’ football team on their 100% record, winning all their group games, it understands, without conceding a single goal; congratulates Angus Wilkinson on his 1500m gold medal and Tehillah Chiomaah Ikechukwu Okonkwo on her 100m silver medal; understands that the team’s full roster of swimmers featured in their respective finals; thanks everyone behind the scenes who it considers worked tirelessly, particularly the coaching team, and wishes South Lanarkshire’s athletes in all seven disciplines represented at the games every success in all their future sporting endeavours.
