Sportathon Success at Inverkeithing High School

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Inverkeithing High School on the success of its recent 24-hour Sportathon; recognises that the Sportathon, which took place on 6 October 2022, raised over £4,000 for the school's PE department and Active Schools; notes that, during the event, participants collectively travelled 2168.73 km on running, cycling and rowing machines, as the school houses competed to see how far they could travel; highlights that the event also included basketball, a silent disco and other activities run by Young Ambassadors at the school; supports the aim of Fife Active Schools to encourage more young people to get more active, more often; commends those who took part in the Sportathon, and praises the initiative and hard work of the pupils involved in organising it.
