McLaren High School Success at First Lego League International Open Brazil

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates STEM Troopers Team from McLaren High School, Callander, on coming third in the Robot Design Award at the First Lego League International Open Brazil, powered by SESI in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; understands that the McLaren High School STEM Troopers Team was made up of three pupils and two teachers who competed in the international final of the robot design competition that ran from 5 to 7 August 2022; further understands that the First Lego League International Open Brazil brings together the best 100 teams from all over the world, with students taking part in national tournaments to design, build, and program their own robots to compete with during their national tournaments, and then qualify to represent their countries at international tournaments, and notes that the First Lego League Challenge aims to introduce science, technology, engineering, and maths to children aged 9-16 through fun and exciting hands-on learning.
