Lanark and District Archaeological Society Receives National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Lanark and District Archaeological Society on its successful application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to fully fund their project, Lanark's Story; understands that the society aims to promote an interest in the archaeology and local history of Clydesdale through lecture programmes, field walks, cataloguing artefacts, inspiring school pupils during talks and presentations; notes that the National Lottery Grants for Heritage programme is open to applications for any type of heritage project from £3,000 to £5 million and invests in every part of Scotland’s diverse heritage from museums, parks and historic places to archaeology, natural environment and cultural traditions; commends Lanark and District Archaeological Society on its endeavours to record and preserve the heritage of Clydesdale through their current projects, and wishes them all the best in their future projects.
