New College Lanarkshire Students at WorldSkills 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates New College Lanarkshire graduates Mona Nawaz and Lewis Batchelor who are representing Team UK at the WorldSkills Competition 2022 in Bordeaux, France; recognises that Lewis and Mona are two of five Scots representing Team UK at the competition, known as the Skills Olympics, which runs from 19 to 23 October 2022; understands that Mona, from Motherwell, will be demonstrating her skills in digital construction, alongside Lewis, from East Kilbride, demonstrating his skills in mechanical engineering; further understands that the team will compete against the best students and apprentices from around the globe; praises New College Lanarkshire, Mona and Lewis, and wishes them all the best in the competition and future endeavours.
