Cumnock Pupils Win Regional Qualifier Maths Challenge
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates four pupils, Stephanie, Toby, Keyon and Cyrus of Cumnock’s Robert Burns Academy for winning the Enterprising Maths Competition run by the Scottish Mathematical Council; understands that the event took place as the East Ayrshire regional qualifier for the national competition; notes that the event was held at Kilmarnock’s William McIlvanney Campus; understands that pupils had to compete in a series of challenging puzzles, problem-solving tasks and practical task building; further understands that the national final will take place in November 2022 at the Glasgow Science Centre, and wishes the pupils the very best for the finals.
