Kaleena Micheal Launches Malaysian Baby Bag

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of Kaleena Micheal, who is a consultant ophthalmologist in NHS Ayrshire and Arran, and has started a baby bag initiative in Miri, Malaysia; understands that Kaleena was inspired by the baby box that she received in Scotland and was motivated to start a modified budget version for new mothers in Miri; notes that the scheme has received support from those in Malaysia, the UK, and Bahrain; believes that the initiative will help families in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the current economic climate; notes that each bag contains towels, a baby suit, socks, mittens, a hat, baby wash, detergent, a sarong, and pillows; applauds Kaleena for her efforts, and wishes her the very best for the future.
