National Trust Scotland Geilston Gardens Cardross Celebrates Apple Day

The motion

That the Parliament commends the efforts of staff and volunteers at National Trust Scotland Geilston Gardens, Cardross for hosting Apple Day 2022; notes that the event was planned by volunteer group Friends of Geilston Gardens, which brought together organisations including Helensburgh Beekeepers, RSPB, Hesselhead Wildlife Rescue Centre and Jim’s Birds & Bats; understands that freshly-harvested, locally-grown apples were picked and juiced on the day by John Hancox; further understands that children and families got a chance to get close to nature and take part in several outdoor pursuits, and wishes the team at the gardens and volunteers every success for the future.
