Congratulating City of Glasgow College on Retention of STEM Assured Status
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates City of Glasgow College on retaining STEM Assured Status for the next three years; understands that the College has once again met and exceeded the UK STEM Foundation’s rigorous accreditation criteria to preserve STEM status; notes that STEM Assured is an integrated, leading-edge standard that offers a practical way to benchmark, validate and drive continuous improvements in STEM provision; further notes that the assessment examined the college's performance against criteria set out by the Scottish Government’s STEM Strategy, which includes the four pillars of excellence, equity, inspiration and connection, and commends City of Glasgow College for achieving best practice status within each of the category areas that they were benchmarked in, namely Strategy and Planning, Collaboration and Consultation, Innovation, Design, Delivery, and Impact.
