The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Leven River Park project on receiving the substantial award of a development grant of £246,857 and potential delivery grant of £2,882,356 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund; understands that the project will use the funding, which is run by the Green Action Trust alongside other partner organisations, to enable the development of two river park gardens at neglected sites along the River Leven, enhancing the environment around new active travel routes and creating a safe and welcoming space for the community; further understands that project will also provide multi-functional spaces for recreation, play and sport, outdoor community learning and growing, and a green skills academy; believes that the completion of the project will complement active travel improvements and river restoration work being delivered in the area by creating multi-functional greenspaces for the community that explore and celebrate the local heritage, reconnect people with the river, and create high quality green infrastructure for people and wildlife; notes that The National Lottery Heritage Fund invests money raised by National Lottery players from museums, parks and historic places to archaeology, natural environment and cultural traditions, and wishes everyone involved in the project the very best for the future.
