Lanarkshire ASN Young People Complete No Limits Training Initiative

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the 12 Lanarkshire ASN youngsters who completed North Lanarkshire’s first ever No Limits training programme; understands that the initiative is designed for young people with additional support needs and that the trainees are paid and learn the skills required to succeed in the world of work, as well as each one having the support of a job coach from North Lanarkshire Council’s Supported Enterprise Service; further understands that the youngsters took part in a range of activities to gain skills to take with them into their work experience programme, which included outdoor adventure training to develop communication and teamwork skills, training courses, mindfulness sessions and achieving awards; notes that all of them have gained a wide range of skills, which helped them secure occupation places, and wishes all the young people success in their new positions.
