TechFest Careers Networking Event

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates TechFest on its highly popular careers networking event that took place at North East Scotland College (NESCol) campuses in Aberdeen and Fraserburgh; understands that over 100 pupils from across the north east were in attendance and able to network with industry professionals from the energy sector to discuss a wide range of career opportunities available in the STEM sector; acknowledges that the event is organised in partnership with NESCol and supported by sponsorship from DYW, TechnipFMC and OPITO; understands that TechFest is committed to promoting the benefits and career opportunities of science, technology, engineering and mathematics across the north east and has been running careers networking events since 2015; commends all those involved in TechFest, and wishes them well for the future.
