Grangemouth Taxi Company Wins at Prestige Awards 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Farid Travels in Grangemouth on its award win at the Prestige Awards 2022; understands that Farid Travels was awarded the Luxury Taxi Company of the Year at the ceremony in Edinburgh on 17 October 2022; considers that the Prestige Awards recognise small and medium-sized enterprises throughout Scotland who are deemed the best in their chosen sector; appreciates that the Luxury Taxi Company of the Year award was accepted by Zain Farid, who dedicated the award to his late father, Ghulam Farid; notes that Ghulam Farid ran Bowhouse Square shop in Grangemouth for over 20 years, and that he and his wife earned British Empire Medals for their contributions to helping their local community during the COVID-19 pandemic; congratulates Zain Farid and Farid Travels on their success at the Prestige Awards 2022, and wishes them every success in the future.
