Edinburgh Napier University to Provide Free Breakfasts to Students

The motion

That the Parliament commends Edinburgh Napier University on its plans to provide students with free on-campus breakfasts in winter 2022; notes that the free hot meal consists of a breakfast roll and a hot drink and will be available Monday to Friday between 8.30 and 10.30 am; considers that the cost of living crisis is having a significant impact on students across Scotland, with research from the National Union of Students earlier in 2022 reportedly finding that 35% of students in Scotland were considering dropping out of their studies due to finances, and encourages other universities to consider what support they can put in place for students over the coming months.
