Alloa Operatic Society's 70 Years

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that 2022 marks 70 years since the birth of Alloa Operatic Society; believes that Alloa Musical Players (AMP), as it has been known since the turn of the millennium, marked 70 years of musical theatre with an event at Sauchie Hall on 1 October 2022; understands that since its launch in 1952, hundreds of people have given their time and talents, with attendees ranging from members from the 1960s through to current new members; notes that preparations for the next AMP show, Little Shop of Horrors, are already in progress with tickets due to be going on sale shortly for the March 2023 staging, and congratulates everyone involved, past and present, on their sterling endeavours.
