The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that an Alloa community group that transformed a walled garden into a thriving space has received a significant donation from the Morrisons Foundation; understands that the Wimpy Park Community Group has received a cheque for £5,000 from the organisation; believes that some of the funds will go towards a base in the park for the groups who come along to help with the garden and volunteering even if rain showers are expected, and will also be a space for people to enjoy some quiet time, or for shade when the warmer months return; acknowledges that, in addition, the donation will go towards a rainwater capture system along with solar power generation to help educate and show groups how renewable energy works to power the shelter; understands that volunteers at the Wimpy Park work with groups of people with disabilities and other community groups as well as childminders; believes that the cheque for the group was presented by Morrisons Alloa community champion, Jayne Lindfield, and the store manager, and commends everyone involved for their tireless work for the benefit of the community as a whole.
