East Haven Success at Beautiful Scotland Awards

That the Parliament congratulates East Haven Together volunteers and group leader, Wendy Murray, on sharing the top prize at the annual Beautiful Scotland awards ceremony; acknowledges that these were the first awards held after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and resulted in East Haven winning the best coastal village award as well as being announced as the joint winner, along with Aberdeen, of the prestigious Beautiful Scotland rosebowl; understands that the East Haven initiative was used to engage more volunteers, to improve climate and biodiversity, and to give back to the local community; notes that East Haven won best coastal village in the Britain in Bloom competition in 2018, and wishes the village the best should they go on to compete in the Britain in Bloom finals in 2023.
