State of UK Politics
The motion
That the Parliament believes that the resignation of Liz Truss is welcome because of what it sees as the disrepute and chaos that has ensued during her short term in office; believes that people across these islands are suffering because of high energy bills, increased food prices, and soaring mortgages; further believes that this is due to Conservative Party ineptitude, and calls for an immediate general election and for the people of Scotland to be given the right to choose their own future in a democratic independence referendum.
