30 Years of Les Hoey’s Community Work

The motion

That the Parliament commends Les Hoey for his 30 years of dedication to charity work; recognises the invaluable support that the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation gives to children with life-limiting illnesses and assistance it provides to affected family members; understands that the charity has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds from events and fundraisers to transform the lives of children under the care of the organisation since its inception in September 2014; notes that Les’ devotion was recognised in the 2013’s New Year Honours List when he received an MBE for services to charity in Scotland; praises the overwhelming effort from Les, the employees of the charity, and volunteers who work tirelessly to change the lives of children, and wishes them all the best in future endeavours.
