Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre Launches Warm Space Initiative
The motion
That the Parliament applauds the Warm Space initiative from the Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre in Bellshill; understands that the centre will open its doors to people in the community who are unable to heat their homes this winter from 1 November 2022, providing comfort and shelter to those most in need; further understands that the Neighbourhood Centre will offer free tea, coffee and snacks, and, on Fridays, a hot meal can also be provided; understands that North Lanarkshire Council has awarded the centre funding to support its initiative, and congratulates the staff at the centre for its continued commitment to supporting the local Bellshill community.
