Growing Kirkcaldy Celebrates Double Success at 2022 Keep Scotland Beautiful Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Growing Kirkcaldy after it was awarded a gold medal in the 2022 Keep Scotland Beautiful Awards, as well as the discretionary VisitScotland Award for Tourism; understands that Growing Kirkcaldy created a Jack Vettriano-themed welcome for the judges at Kirkcaldy’s War Memorial Gardens, before taking the judges on a tour of the town centre to showcase the work that the group has carried out; recognises that Growing Kirkcaldy was selected to win the awards from a total of 46 other entries from 18 local authorities across Scotland; further recognises that the competition was the first after a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and commends Growing Kirkcaldy for its dedication in beautifying Kirkcaldy for the benefit of people who live in the town as well as visitors and tourists.
