St Andrew's High School in Coatbridge Achieves Gold Rights Respecting School Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates St Andrew’s High School in Coatbridge on being awarded the Gold Rights Respecting School Award from UNICEF UK; understands that the school received this award after explicitly adopting a child rights-based approach based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and has embedded this approach in school policy, practice and culture; notes that the Rights Respecting Committee at the school has organised a Pupil Parliament, litter picking and Q and A sessions with local elected representatives, as well as other activities to achieve this award, and wishes the school all the best in continuing its excellent work as a Gold Rights Respecting School.
