Irving Norquoy Wins Gold at Scottish Disability Junior Swim Championships
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Irving Norquoy from Sandwick, Orkney, who won gold in the 25m breaststroke and backstroke at the Scottish Disability Sport Junior Swim Championships, which was held in Grangemouth on 2 November 2022; also recognises that Irving won silver in the 75m medley, bronze in the 25m butterfly and secured personal best times in all categories he competed in; commends Irving, who was born with spina bifida, on this fantastic achievement only a year after his first competition in Orkney; congratulates all the competitors and organisers at Scottish Disability Sport; thanks all those who supported Irving, notably his family, Orkney Amateur Swimming Club and NorthLink Ferries for their sponsorship, and wishes Irving all the very best for future success.
