Greenock and District Scouts Gang Show Becomes Longest Running in the UK

Lodged by Stuart McMillan (Scottish National Party) Standard Motion 20 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the return of the Greenock and District Scouts Gang Show as it becomes the longest running gang show in the UK; notes that, after a four-year break, an enthusiastic cast of almost 100 scouts, many of whom will be taking part in the production for the first time, will be taking to the stage at the Beacon Arts Centre for a five-night run from 15 to 19 November 2022; recognises that around 80 adults will be working behind the scenes to make sure everything is alright on the night, and that the 2022 production marks the 80th anniversary of the very first Greenock Gang Show and 20 years since Kenny Wilson, of The Wherries, took on the production; believes that audiences will be in for some extremely funny sketches and a family-friendly fun night out, and wishes everyone involved all the best as they prepare to put on the show.
