Wood RecyclAbility Wins Environmental Social Enterprise Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Wood RecyclAbility for winning the Environmental Social Enterprise Award at the 2022 Social Enterprise Awards Scotland national awards ceremony; understands that the awards recognise the unique economic and social contribution made by the social enterprise sector across Scotland; notes that Wood RecyclAbility won the Environmental Social Enterprise Award for its work to transform 1,500 tonnes of waste wood into practical products each year; understands that Wood RecyclAbility was set up in 1997 as a small social enterprise to provide practical work experience for people with additional support needs through working with waste wood; commends Wood RecyclAbility for winning the award, which recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in environmental impact delivery, place sustainability at the heart of their mission, and play a key role in the fight against climate change, and wishes Wood RecyclAbility continued success in its work going forward.
