Brighter Bothwell Awarded a Gold Medal

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Brighter Bothwell on it being awarded a gold medal in the 2022 Keep Scotland Beautiful Awards' Small Town category; understands that Brighter Bothwell comprises a group of dedicated, green-fingered individuals who volunteer their time and skills with a boundless "can do" attitude that extends to providing colourful flower displays, planting bulbs, continuous pruning and weeding, and organising litter picks; recognises the positive spirit prevalent among the Brighter Bothwell "buddies" and the community cohesion that they bring in their active collaborations with other community groups, churches, schools and local businesses, and commends Brighter Bothwell for its commitment to beautifying Bothwell for the benefit of local people and visitors alike.
